How to Transfer Money from Maybank to SaxoBank

Today I have made a telegraphic transfer from Maybank to Saxobank.

Basically, there are 2 options available:

1. Over the Counter at Maybank branch - fees will be RM30. Supporting documents are needed.

2. Online transfer - through Telegraphic Transfer - fees will be RM10. No supporting documents are needed.

Obviously, for cheaper, faster and easier options, I have chose online transfer by telegraphic transfer (TT).


The overall process took me about 15 min or so for me.

Step 1
Register a new favorite transfer.
Select "Oversea" for the type of transfer.

Input the basic information about the sender (which is you):

1. Name
2. Address
3. Phone number
4. Email address


Information needed for the receiver:

1. Sender Name – Your name

2. Address – Saxo Bank A/S, Philip Heymans Alle 15, 2900 Hellerup, Denmark

3. Country – Denmark

4. ID/Passport – 9333460

5. For the account number (IBAN) – DK6611490100874536

6. SWIFT Code – SAXODKKK

7. Email – your email address

8. Bank – Saxo Bank A/S

9. Contact no – your own mobile number

10. For Purpose of Payment – Equity investment

Step 2

Make the transfer.

Save the payment slip and email to SaxoBank for the proof and record purposes.

SaxoBank will take about 3 days to receive the money.
